Peaceland Foundation Participates in the 7th China-Africa People’s Forum & China-Africa Young Leaders Forum and Hosts Side Event

From July 25 to 27, 2024, the 7th China-Africa People’s Forum & China-Africa Young Leaders Forum, themed “Striving together for Modernization and New Development: Pool Our Strength in Building a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future, was held in Hunan, China. The Forum sought to deepen mutual trust between the peoples of China and Africa, promote practical cooperation, and explore development opportunities alongside leaders from over 50 African countries. Peaceland Foundation was invited and hosted a parallel session named “Ecological Environment and Sustainable Development: Towards a Green Future”.

Ms. Tina Liu, Director of the International Development Department at Peaceland Foundation, along with Mr. Suleiman Hussein Kova, Founder of Sukos Kova Foundation in Tanzania, jointly presented the outcomes of the collaboration between two foundations, highlighting the capacity-building project for natural disaster emergency response in Tanzania. Additionally, the Founder of Peaceland Foundation, Ms. Lili Qiu, launched the Emergency Capacity Building Plan under the New Normal of Climate Change in Multiple African Countries, further advancing China-Africa cooperation in green development and environmental protection.

During the Forum, activities such as intangible cultural heritage experiences and China-Africa cultural exchange exhibitions were held, with Peaceland Foundation actively participating, presenting its rescue and capacity-building projects in Africa.
