Peaceland Foundation Participates in the NDM-UN27

From April 29 to May 1, 2024, Peaceland Foundation, representing Chinese NGOs, participated in the 27th International Meeting of Mine Action National Directors and United Nations Advisers (NDM-UN27) in Geneva. This event brought together leaders and experts in mine action to network and discuss critical issues in the field, with a focus on the theme “Protecting Lives, Building Peace”.

Peaceland Foundation actively shared its mine action projects and experiences with international participants, exploring opportunities for collaboration. Peaceland focused on key issues such as the intersection of mine action with food security, risk education, resilience building, and international cooperation and innovation. Additionally, Peaceland invited representatives from its partner organization, the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA), including Chhiv Lim and Ny Nhar, to present Cambodia’s experiences and insights on collaborative mine action.

During the NDM-UN27, Peaceland Foundation held bilateral meetings with CMAA representatives to discuss future cooperation directions. Permanent Representative of Cambodia to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Dara In, expressed appreciation for Peaceland’s work in Cambodia and looked forward to further joint efforts to contribute to regional peace and development.
